ANDRIA ✧ THE MERMAID BLUES
The Mermaid Blues is the lovechild of salted waters and sleepless nights. She is a bloodthirsty ocean goddess surfacing from the depths of human emotion -- a magical home in the water where her heart triggers too heavily for words to render.
Andria was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is currently a visual art teacher in Houston, TX, graduating from the University of Houston's Studio Art Painting program with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.
Her practice explores the symbolic and alchemistic themes of iconography, macabre, romance, and the human condition. A common hiding place we all have in the dark.
